Your contractor needs the project to keep moving. Your designer needs you to pick finishes so the project stays on track. The people around you are good at their jobs, and genuinely want things to go well for you, too. But it doesn't always feel unbiased. It can feel like there's a lot of momentum, and nowhere to just stop and think.
